EdgeVitals won the pitch competition at La Forge Demo Day Fall 2025, held at the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne.

The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, partners and members of the innovation ecosystem for an afternoon focused on emerging deep tech startups. The Demo Day took place on 20 November 2025 and featured startup pitches, keynote presentations and networking with the regional tech community.

More than 17 startups from the La Forge incubator presented their technologies and business vision to an audience of over 200 attendees.

EdgeVitals presented its remote vital signs monitoring technology (rVSM). The system measures heart rate, breathing rate and oxygen saturation using a standard camera and proprietary AI algorithms. The technology enables contactless health monitoring across telemedicine, hospitals and digital health platforms.

Winning the pitch competition marks an important milestone for the company and highlights growing interest in contactless healthcare solutions.

Two Years at La Forge Incubator

EdgeVitals spent the past two years in the La Forge incubator, located at the EPFL Innovation Park.

La Forge supports early stage startups through mentoring, workshops and connections with investors and industry partners. The incubator helps founders refine their business model and accelerate company development within the Swiss innovation ecosystem.

During this period, the EdgeVitals team advanced the development of its rVSM technology, strengthened partnerships and continued validation work with healthcare partners.

The company is grateful for the support of the La Forge team, mentors and the EPFL Innovation Park community during this important stage.

A New Office at EPFL Innovation Park

Following its incubation period, EdgeVitals now operates from its own dedicated office at the EPFL Innovation Park.

The new workspace allows the team to expand its technology development and collaborate more closely with healthcare institutions, research partners and digital health companies based in the region.

Looking Ahead

EdgeVitals continues to develop contactless vital signs monitoring solutions designed to improve access to healthcare and simplify patient monitoring.

Recognition at La Forge Demo Day reinforces the company’s mission to bring fast, contactless vital signs measurement to hospitals, telemedicine platforms and digital health applications.

The team looks forward to the next stage of growth within the EPFL Innovation Park ecosystem.
